VetBizCommunity™: Goal and Mission Statement
Goal: The creation of a vibrant veteran entrepreneur and small business owner community that will create positive economic impact as well as veteran jobs.
Mission Statement: Presently, there are 1,000,000 unemployed veterans nationwide, and another 1,000,000 military personnel separating from service in the next year alone. There are simply not enough jobs available for returning veterans. Our mission is to empower veterans to solve this unemployment epidemic themselves. By enabling those who want to pursue entrepreneurship and business ownership to start viable businesses that will create jobs, entrepreneurial veterans will then hire those veterans who are seeking employment, to make sure that “no one is left behind.”
Studies have shown that as many as 40-60% of all transitioning military personnel want to become entrepreneurs and work for themselves. And the SBA reports that business ownership among veterans, especially women and veterans under the age of 35, has grown dramatically.
Whether you are preparing to separate from military service or are a vetern (of any discharge status) who has long returned to civilian status, if you are considering working for yourself, creating jobs for other veterans, and and being part of the economic recovery of the U.S., VetBizCommunity™ is ready and able to guide you to entrepreneurship, success, and profitability.
